Overviw

Applicants visiting family and friends legally residing in Ukraine.

An applicant will have to provide evidence that he/she falls under this category.

Visa Fees

1	Issuing of Transit visa (Type B)*:

Fees are not refunded in case of a visa refusal.

These categories of applicants are issued with visas upon a zero fee:

children under 6 years;

Documents Required

The Passport should be issued less than10 years ago & valid for at least six months &, beyond the intended duration of stay in Ukraine and with at least two blank pages. (Binding of the passport should be in good condition).
Complete & Signed Visa Application Form must be completed computerized in block letters.
Two Recent (not older than 30 days) passport-size photographs in color with white background. (35mm x 45mm).
Medical/travel insurance policy to cover Ukraine and the period of stay (the policy should provide a minimum of €30 000 or equivalent coverage) with full details of person.
Two copies of passport bio-data pages. (Photo page and address/parents page) copies of all Ukrainian Previous Visas, and USA, UK, Schengen and Australia Visas.
Proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay. (Original updated Bank Statement for last 03 months with minimum balance 2500$ with original stamp and sign of bank.)
Flight Tickets are Required with Name, Surname & Travel dates as mentioned on the Visa Application Form.
Original notarized invitation letter from a Ukrainian citizen in Ukrainian language or a foreigner/stateless person who legally resides (temporarily or permanently) in Ukraine. Invitation should contain full surname and name(s) of the inviting person, details of his/her passport and temporary or permanent residency permit (for a foreigner or stateless person), address, and full name of the invited person, information about his/her date and place of birth, nationality, passport details, place of residence, purpose of visit, duration of intended visit to Ukraine, number of entries and place of stay in Ukraine, physical person’s obligations towards possible coverage of costs related to the applicant’s stay and/or departure from Ukraine; (Must mention the Travel Dates, Invitee details, Period of Stay, Single/Multiple entry).

                         OR

Document(s) confirming that the applicant is a spouse, a parent or a child of a citizen of Ukraine.

                         OR

Document(s) confirming that the applicant owns property (real estate) allocated in Ukraine.

                         OR

Certificate of a person of Ukrainian descent* issued by Ukraine’s National Committee on Persons of Ukrainian Descent. If applicant’s family applies for this type of visa as well documents on their status and family relation to the applicant should also be provided.

                        And

Copies of the inviting person’s Ukrainian passport.
For Minors
1. Application to be signed by both parents.
2. If traveling with one of the parent a Notarized NO Objection a letter from other parent must be provided. Accompanied by ID copy of the same.

Note: - Application for Private Visit visa may take minimum 30 working days or more for processing it can be extended by Embassy.

Applicant could be asked for additional documents or for a personal interview if desired by The Embassy of Ukraine, New Delhi.

Photo Specification

A Photograph submitted with the application form should comply with the following specifications:

Must be an up to date photograph (not more than 6 months old)
Must be a colour photograph printed on normal photographic paper
Should be passport sized 3,5 Ñ… 4,5 Ñm
Face should take 70-80% of the photograph
The size of the face from the bottom of your chin to the hairline must be between 31mm and 36mm
The background shall be plain and light coloured
Without sunglasses
Without hat or other head covering unless you wear this for religious reasons
Spectacles should not have toned or reflecting glasses
The frame of the spectacles may not cover the eyes
The mouth must be closed

Please note that photos that do not comply with these standards are not accepted.

Processsing Time

Usually decision on a visa application is made within a period of 10-30 calendar days excluding day of submission. It is advised to submit visa application at least 30 calendar days before the intended visit. A visa application cannot be submitted earlier than three months before the intended date of travel.

In some cases, which are exclusively determined by the Embassy, processing time can be extended up to 30 working days.

Processing procedure and time are solely of competence of the Embassy of Ukraine to India.
