How Kosovo Permits Work

The Department for Citizenship, Asylum and Migration, within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, decides on the residence permit. At the same time, the Employment Agency handles work authorisation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. The Government sets an annual quota for work permits, divided into categories A to D.

How the Appeal Works

If your application is refused, you can appeal, and the Appeals Commission must decide within 15 days of receiving it. Specifically, a refusal of a work permit is challenged by a complaint to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. Note that where a work permit is refused only because the annual number of permits has been reached, that particular ground cannot be appealed.

The Court Stage
