Zlín is the seat, but the Zlín Region’s industrial mass is a linear conurbation: the seat and Otrokovice run together down the lower Dřevnice valley to where it meets the Morava, and work is split between them. Four districts face four different directions. The Beskydy rise in the north, the Javorníky in the east and the Bílé Karpaty along the southern frontier, with fertile lowland only where the Morava runs. The Slovak border follows the whole eastern and south-eastern edge on mountain ridges. Labour markets here follow the valleys, which is why this compact region behaves like several at once.
Four districts, four orientations, and none of them a single regional market. Kroměříž sits in the Morava valley and looks as readily towards Olomouc and Přerov as towards the seat. Uherské Hradiště and Kunovice look south, to Slovakia and the wine country. Terrain separates the Vsetín valleys from everything else, and they host the region’s highest-tech manufacturing site alongside its fewest openings, so an employer who reasons from district market conditions to skill availability will get that district exactly backwards. The seat and Otrokovice are the one deep market. One instrument is worth knowing: the Labour Office records commuting between districts as common here and subsidises some longer-distance commuting, a real argument to put in front of a candidate.
Two of the four instruments are cards that cover residence and employment together: an employee card for everyday posts, and a blue card for higher-qualified ones. A third, for staff sent within a group, is the intra-corporate transfer card. The fourth, a work permit, must be held with a residence authorisation. Nationality, qualification, length of engagement, and transfer status determine which one applies.
Inspection risk sits with the employer even though the workerr applies for thecard. The worker lodges at a Czech embassy or consulate; the Ministry of the Interior decides what was lodged. A regional Labour Office branch takes the vacancy and grants work permits. Penalties for illegal employment and for record failures fall to the State Labour Inspection Office.
Sequence matters here. Notify the competent regional Labour Office branch, consent to its inclusion in the central register and to publication, then recruit, then let the worker apply, quoting the vacancy number. Separate registers exist for employee card and blue card posts. An entry lasts six months from the notification date.
This is assistance, not influence. A well-built application is more likely to be decided quickly than a defective one, and that is the entire advantage on offer. We do the preparation, lodging, follow-up, and corrections. Public bodies rule by criteria of their own choosing, at a time of their own choosing, and offer no approval or date.
Practical use is the point of this page: an employer in Zlín can work out which route a post takes, what the procedure will ask for, and when. None of that is local, because the law is national. Everything about who you can actually recruit there is local.
The Labour Office records rubber and plastics machine operator posts as unfilled for more than a year. The sector recruits continuously but still can't fill its lines.
Bricklayers and lorry drivers sit on the same chronically unfilled list, so construction and haulage here are limited by who can be found rather than by what can be won.
Footwear stitchers and closing room machinists are acutely scarce, the existing workforce is ageing, and the formal entry route is thin, so firms train internally or through family networks.
Aircraft structures trades and licensed maintenance engineers form a small national pool, andan evena smaller one here, and airworthiness rules make substituting an unqualified candidate impossible.
Semiconductor process and equipment technicians must be trained in-house because no institution in the region supplies them, and the site that needs them sits in its least populous valley.
Terrain decides catchment. A site in a side valley draws from that valley, and the Labour Office names accessibility from the Slovak border areas and the upper Vsetín valleys as a direct constraint.
The region’s one public university is strong in polymer technology, design and informatics and thin elsewhere, so engineering and electronics graduates are recruited against Brno and Ostrava.
What the regional branch publishes is not marketing copy. It sets out the occupation, duties, and requirements as the legal description of a post; the card follows it, and the contract and application lodged abroad must reproduce it faithfully. Draft it with that in mind. Two statutory floors also bind the post: minimum wage pay and fifteen hours of work weekly.
Choosing the route is the first decision,, and it governs the resm. Nationality, qualification, duration and group transfer status point to one answer among those set out underneath. The choice determines what the exercise costs, whether a publication period applies to the vacancy at all, and how soon the person can lawfully begin work. Decide it before advertising anything.
A supply of available domestic labour sufficient for the purpose is what brings the publication requirement into play. Without it, no period applies. With it, the vacancy sits published for a maximum of thirty days, and ten days applies instead if the branch takes that view of the market. Assume the longer figure whenever a start date has to be put in writing.
Blue card conditions come as a set, and every one of them binds: a qualification from higher professional or university study of three years at least, or higher professional skills in occupations specified for the purpose; earnings of one and a half of the average gross annual salary; and a contract running six months or more. The transfer card has its own set entirely.
Received, not posted, within ninety days of the earlier job finishing: that is the deadline, and the ninetieth day is the last of them. Nor is the change available until six months have run from collection. Work in the new post depends on written confirmation from the Ministry of the Interior that the conditions are met, which takes at least 30 days. A blue card change follows different rules.
Recruitment from abroad concentrates in particular sectors, and the sections below set out which ones those are in Zlín. Expect the job titles each sector hires, a local reason the industry sits where it sits, and a note on what the posting has to make clear.
Employers recruit tyre builders, curing press operators, mixing and compounding staff, extruder operators, trimming operatives, mould maintenance fitters, rubber technologists and laboratory technicians.
Otrokovice manufactures tyres for passenger, agricultural, and off-highway use, and Zubří makes technical rubber goods: mouldings, profiles, seals, hoses, and conveyor products for industry.
The product mix is seasonal even when headcount isn't, because winter and summer tyre builds run on a pre-season schedule. Say which shift loading a post will meet through the year.
Cycle time governs the job, so a machine left running on a doubtful cavity produces boxes of scrap very quickly. Train the stop decision explicitly, and make clear that stopping a press is the expected behaviour rather than an escalation.
Workshops recruit clickers and cutters, closing-room machinists, lasters, sole fitters, finishers, orthopaedic shoemakers, pattern cutters, and shoe repairers in small units.
Most of the country’s remaining footwear firms are here, and they make orthopaedic, bespoke, barefoot, and functional footwear, plus repair work, in small workshops rather than on volume lines.
Advertise this as a craft entry with paid training, because experienced stitchers are not available to hire. A practical trial on a machine tells you more than any stated history.
Finishing work ends with somebody deciding what counts as a fault, and two inspectors who disagree will wreck a delivery. Train to physical samples of accept and reject, then check agreement between shifts rather than trusting a written grade.
Plants recruit sheet metal workers, structures fitters, riveters, composite laminators, wiring harness fitters, aircraft mechanics, airworthiness inspectors and production planners.
Kunovice is the centre of a cluster rather than a single works, covering regional turboprop assembly, light and sport aircraft and a development house, with an aviation secondary school attached.
Every trade here works to approved data and signed records. Explain the documentation discipline at interview, because candidates from general engineering underestimate how much of the day it takes.
Toolmaking sits apart from production and recruits differently. The work is one-off, dimensional and slow, measured in thousandths rather than output, and a production machinist who wants volume and bonus will be unhappy inside a fortnight.
Suppliers recruit electronics assemblers, test technicians, calibration technicians, systems engineers, wiring designers, quality engineers, configuration controllers and bench repair technicians.
Uherské Hradiště builds avionics and aircraft systems, including fuel measurement, de-icing control electronics, and heating systems, placing a high-reliability electronics trade alongside the assembly cluster.
Traceability governs the work, so a post needs someone comfortable with serialised parts and controlled documents. Say that plainly rather than describing it as electronics assembly.
Seated, repetitive work brings its own strain, and control comes from rotating between tasks rather than endurance. Describe the rotation in the posting, and train the warm-up and posture routine before first production work rather than after a complaint.
Sites recruit process operators, diffusion and implant operators, clean-room technicians, equipment maintenance technicians, test engineers, device engineers, metrologists and quality engineers.
Rožnov pod Rais aěm holds a semiconductor and power electronics manufacturing site, the most demanding manufacturing employer in the Vsetín district and the one least served by local training.
The work gowning ,and full shift rotation deter more candidates than the ttechnical requirements do Describe all three in the advert and keep the training period in the offer.
Volume follows the customer programme, so headcount rises for a build phase and falls when it ends. Where that is the position, write a fixed term tied to the phase and say so at interview instead of implying permanence.
Forges recruit hammer and press operators, die setters, heat treatment operators, machinists, machine programmers, toolmakers, welders and materials technicians across the valleys.
Forged components are made in the seat and general engineering and metalworking run through Vsetín and Valašské Meziříčí, serving vehicle, machinery, energy and construction equipment customers rather than one buyer.
Forge work is hot, loud, and physically hard, andnd an honest description reduces early leaving. Confirm hearing and heat tolerance at the medical rather than after the first week.
Planned stoppages are when maintenance happens, so fitters and electricians work while production rests, and then rest while it runs. Anyone recruited into that trade should be told the pattern, because it inverts a normal domestic week.
Operators recruit process operators, distillation operators, control room staff, shift chemists, instrumentation technicians, maintenance fitters, laboratory analysts and safety officers.
Valašské Meziříčí runs coal-tar distillation and aromatics chemistry, producing tar products, naphthalene derivatives, and related intermediates; this is continuous process work rather than batch manufacture.
Continuous operation means a shift pattern with shorter statutory weekly hours and night cover every week. Set that out in the advert alongside the required hazardous-area training.
Laboratory sampling is worthless without the record behind it, so a quality technician records results as the test is performed, not afterwards from memory. Ask how a candidate handles an out-of-specification result, because the answer reveals everything.
Producers recruit steam-bending operatives, machinists, spindle moulders, cabinetmakers, upholsterers, sprayers, router operators, polishers and hand finishers at Bystřice pod Hostýnem.
Bentwood and solid-wood furniture is a long-established craft here, and the heavily forested Vsetín district supplies the sawmilling and contracting behind it, so the trade and its raw material sit together.
Hand skill decides output and cannot be judged from paperwork. Build a bench test into selection, and be clear whether the post is machine-led or finishing work.
Noise, hand-transmitted vibration, and both need measuring, limiting, and monitoring, and the finishing end adds solvent vapour and spray booth rules. Tell a candidate which end of the shop the post sits in, because different work is done on different days.
Spas recruit physiotherapists, masseurs, balneotherapy and hydrotherapy attendants, general nurses, resident physicians, receptionists, housekeepers, porters and catering staff at Luhačovice.
Luhačovice runs a substantial clinical year-round across several facilities, with accommodation and wellness demand at its peak from spring to autumn.
Clinical qualification recognition sets the timetable for therapy and nursing posts. Staff accommodation is the decisive part of the offer here, because the town's rental stock is thin.
A supervised period at the start is normal and should be planned, not improvised: a named mentor, a definedd caseloa,d and a point at which independent practice begins. Candidates ask about it, and a vague answer costs you the recruit.
Kitchens recruit food production operatives, cooks for plant kitchens, filling and bottling operators, intake graders, cold-store staff, food technologists, hygiene operatives and quality. The Uherské Hradiště area makes ready meals.
Ready meals, preserved foods, fruit juices, and syrups at Nivnice and the valley's own harvest feed the intake campaigns.
The campaign needs a workforce. Agree overtime arrangements in writing before the intake starts, and recruit ahead of the crop rather than alongside it.
Wet floors, hearing protection, and standing all day describe most of this industry, and the work often includes weekends because fresh product cannot wait. Set out the rotation and the laundry arrangement rather than leaving both to be discovered.
Hauliers recruit lorry drivers, tanker drivers, coach and bus drivers, dispatchers, transport planners, yard shunters, fleet mechanics and compliance clerks.
Everything made in these valleys leaves by road, and the LalistsOffice names lorry drivers among the occupations that remain, with the mountains slowing routes and making them run slower.
Professional driver competence and periodic training must be current, and the role also requires dangerous goods experience. Verify what a candidate holds before agreeing to any. Candidates ask about nights away from home first, and a vague answer loses them. Say how many nights a week the work involves, where the vehicle parks overnight and what the cab provides for sleeping and washing.
The region also hires injection moulding setters and film line ope;ators, bricklayers and conc;eters, glassmakers at Valašské Me;iříčí, cellar hands and harvest pickers in the vineyards around Uherské Hr;diště, forestry workers and harvester operators in the B;skydy, uphols;erers, and studio and production crew for the film work attached to the seat.
Listing eleven sectors was a choice about length, not about scope. Employers outside them recall the time internationallyThehing in the proco; it asks what the ocupation is and whether the employer attached eets the, not which industry a company belongs tto
Nobody can answer a question put as an industry. Put it as a post: the occupation and the rate, the workplace, the contract, whether it is seasonal or not, the hours a week, and the qualification without which the job cannot be done.
Ask, do not assume. Whether a publication period will bite on one specific that reorders a plan, the competent regional branch answers, based on the domestic labour available in that occupation.
You hire, we file. Expanded into a task list for an employer in Zlín, that becomes the items below: route, position check, wording, notification, consent, number, file, lodging, registration. None of the items on it involves picking a candidate, settingg a wage or judging a business case.
Hiring decisions, terms and the workplace belong to the employer. Procedure belongs to us. That will be the way through, with thoughtful planning around: only the submitter can put the employee card application in, so our deliverable is a complete file in their hands.
Work the documents in the order the procedure asks for them. Notify, then take the number. Sign the contract, then lodge. Fix the address, then obtain the accommodation confirmation with its certified signature. Reverse any of those pairs, and the file goes back for rebuilding.
A firm that will not say what it cannot do is not worth engaging. We cannot produce an outcome, a decision or a date; the Interior Ministry and the regional branch hold them. We can produce our mediation permit, and the one million koruna lodged behind it, on request.
Employer’s obligations before signing with anyone. Contractor to keep the branch informed while the post is filled, the monthly report published, and an established accommodation standard where the employer houses people so they stay put. Labour law penalties exceeding fifty thousand three months in the period remove the post.
A step taken in the wrong order does not simply fail; it becomes the bottleneck, and the written confirmation with its certified signature becomes the item everybody waits on, with an appointment already booked and a candidate asking what the delay is.
Treat the appointment as the hinge of the whole plan. The worker lodges in person at a consular post; each post accepts applications within an annually set limit, and that changes, amended often enough to make the last experience useless. No usual turnaround is published, and no start date is firm before the card.
Reasonsexplanationaims. Texplainsxplains below says why employeapproach work differentlyproacfocuses on predictable processesprocesse proce rather than its speed. Decisions aren't made at all, but they are.
Employers want the shape of the thing before the commit to it. The shape is four answers: this is the route, this is what it costs, this is what will be asked for and when, and this is the earliest the person may lawfully start.
Miss a window and the usual remedy is to do that stage again. The procedure insists on its evidence in order and within its periods, so the cost of improvising is paid in repetition rather than in a shorter wait at the end.werately delibe tely sell stops short orealityrately. realityrealityinistryistryinistry, vacancies and work permits from the regional branch, and each decides on its own terms in its own time. Read the statute rather than a portal page that summarises it.
The Slovak border runs alonentire walong the entire south-eastern edge of the region, and the crosom it sicrossingstain passes rather than in valleys. Several have been closed or restricted at various times, so never build a shift pattern around a named crossing without checking that it is open. The flow runs both ways. The spa at Luhačovice sits close to the. It is aised employer of Slovak physiotherapists, masseurs and nur, ses, supported by staff accommodation, while . At the same time,. At the same time,ts of the eastern valleys can reach Slovak employers over the same passes. Slovak needs no translation in a Czech workworkplace, makingworkplace, making usable cross-border labour relationship in the country for therapy, n,,unursingi nursinganual work. AtoZSerwisPlus does not run an office in Zlín and says so plainly.
One employer registration with AtoZSerwisPlus, or one message to the team, starts a conversation about Zlín.
Treat this as orientation, not as legal advice on your own facts. The rule, rules, moves, the pshed lists are revised. If a government portal page states one thing and the statute behind it another, follow the statute. We make no promise about how a case ends or when. Take your own position to the competent regional branch, to the Interior Ministry, or to your adviser.
Hiring from outside the Union in Zlín? AtoZSerwisPlus works through the employer's own position, the register entry, the application and the first weeks at work.
Because demand here outruns the trade entirely. The Labour Office records rubber and plastic product machine operator posts as unfilled for over a year in this region, so employers replace leavers and compete for the same few experienced operators.
Responsibility splits in two. The worker applies and holds the document; the company supplies the dcontract conditions and confirmation the file needs, and bearse the consequences of letting work begin early. Neither side can discharge the other’s part.
If the holder works for a different company, in a different role or at a different site from the one recorded, the work is unauthorised even though a valid card exists. Inspectors compare the recorded particulars against the actual deployment.
Almost everyone assumes the company applies and the candidate collects the result. That is the wrong way round. The company’s part is documentary; the individual handles the application, appointment, and biometrics.
On the public administration portal, in the official service description for a card holder reporting a change of employer, a change of post, or employment in a further position. Work from that description and not from a summary of it.
Assuming every card runs for the full two years. Many run for less, because the contract does. Read the expiry printed on the document in front of you instead of counting forward from the start date.
A report carrying a stop-work period is no formality. Written notice from the ministry is what permits the new post to begin. Advice describing a three-working-day deadline is describing blue cards and must not be applied to this permit.
Confirm the current pay floor, whether the qualification will be accepted in its current form, and whether the occupation requires higher professional skills. Put the last two of those to the authorities rather than guessing.
The transferee. The application goes in at a Czech consular post for their jurisdiction, and the Interior Ministry decidepost; for their the other card rou, tand thehe two companies cannot settl; it bn themselves.
Deal with the regional branch on the employment side and keep copies of both documents on file. Confirm the residence side before the first shift, because the permit in isolation is no evidence that the work is lawful.
Usually,, whether there is a quicker way to cover a short peak, a dedicated route exists, but it still requires two documents from two authoritie,s, and it is limited to the sectors named in a ministerial decree.
Work for fewer than seven consecutive calendar days, or fewer than thirty calendar days in total over a year, falls outside the authorisation requirement. Count carefully, because the totals accumulate. This is also the cheapest answer to reach in the entire process.
We can prepare the reunification files alongside the worker’s and follow up on them. We will not tell an employer that a spouse may work because we cannot verify it. We will help put that question to the ministry.
Partly. A spur from the north-west now gives the seat and Otrokovice a motorway approach, and the D55 runs down the Morava valley past Hulín. The continuation east towards the Slovak border remains years away, so the eastern valleys stay off the network.
None, strictly. It is a record held by the labour ministry rather than a certificate an employer receives, and when an employer gets on entry with a number. A separate record of the same kind exists for blue card posts.
We prepare and lodge the notification and the accompanying consent, follow up with the regional branch, and correct it if an entry comes back wrong. The branch decides; our part is to keep the paperwork moving and accurate.
The consent. After doing the harder-looking job of reporting the post, many employers treat the matter as finished, but the agreement to include and publish is a second act that still has to happen. Without it, there is no entry.
No. Once half a year has passed from notification,n the vacancy is liable to removal, and a number taken from an entry that is no longer there is of no use to anybody. Check the entry before quoting its number.
Up to thirty days of publication by the regional branch, reducible to ten at its discretion, and arising only if workers already available in the country are numerous enough to fill the post. Three parts, all of them load-bearing.
No. The period attaches only if the post could be staffed from domestic labour available in sufficient supply, and the branch can shorten it even then. The flat version on two government pages is official, cautious and incomplete.
The older rule required a post to remain unfilled for thirty days before it could become an employee card pall. That language is gone. In its place stands a condition: publication is required where the vacancy could be filled from available domestic labour.
No. Until the branch says what it will do, the shorter period is a possibility, not a plan, and a candidate told otherwise will hear a different story later. Hold the longer figure until there is an answer.
There is no such cap. An employer may employ as many foreign workers as it has registered vacancies and willing candidates. The cap that does exist applies at the application stage abroad, limiting how many applications each consular post accepts per year.
It puts an employer and a named worker inside a scheme with set conditions and a set allocation of permits, and it changes how the appointment abroad is obtained. It does not change what the post itself has to satisfy.
Carrying on business for at least two years, keeping six employees on for three consecutive months, no arrears of tax, social security, or health insurance, and a clean record of relevant fines over the preceding two years.
Nothing, if a programme is the plan. If it is not, read the trading period, staff numbers, and debt conditions as entry criteria for a scheme, since they cannot be confirmed as requirements of general law.
It can. Size and age are not statutory conditions for an ordinary employee card vacancy; they are entry criteria for the government schemes. A company trading for a few months may still notify a post and agree to its listing.
Routinely, and the spa town sits close enough to the border for daily and weekly patterns to work. Slovak staff need no translation in the workplace, and staff accommodation usually settles the offer for therapy and nursing posts.
Three months. The exclusion rests on penalties received in that period, which means a record that disqualifies a post today may not disqualify the same post later, and a clean history can turn bad quickly.
One side says agencies are barred outright; the other says nothing stands in the way. Calling it a prohibition is as wrong as ignoring it, because it's a hard limit on the kind of work.
We can prepare and lodge the paperwork for a direct hire, and where an agency is involved, we will tell you what to ask for. We produce our own documents on request and make no promises about anybody’s decision.
Take the gross monthly wage, add the employer social security share, then treat health insurance as a separate line. The wage alone understates the cost because the employer social security share alone approaches a quarter of the base.
Thirteen point five per cent of the assessment base in total, rounded up to the whole koruna. The split between employer and worker is not stated here, because the research could not confirm it from an official source.
It does not. The regulation sets a coefficient rather than a fixed amount, so the resulting floor cannot be read off the instrument itself and must be taken from the published announcement.
Zaruceny plat, in the official material. The term matters because a search on it brings back pages describing the earlier arrangement, and the two look similar enough that an employer can read the wrong one without noticing.
The monthly wage, with clearance above the current floor, and the weekly hours written as a figure rather than a range. Settle both before drafting anything, and let the rest of the paperwork follow without amendment.
In the labour mministry’sown handbook, which gives adults eleven hours and young workers twelve. If a business portal states twelve as the general figure, the handbook takes precedence.
Their entitlement is proportionate and expressed in hours, so you no longer have to argue about days that mean different things to different people. Work the figure from their contracted weekly hours and round up.
Both, in different places. The application needs the document, and where the businsbusinessides the housing, the published floor space sbusiness providesed agaccommodation, theness rather than the occupant.
The employer. When the business provides the accommodation, the business must confirm the standard is met, and any shortfall found later falls on the business rather than the person living there.
Electronically, in one of two ways: a data message sent via the Socialcurity Administration's portal, or a direct interface between tAdministration'seportal, ors own. Paper has no part in it.
Mostly inside the workshops. Formal provision has moved around, so check with the school directly; plan to recruit for aptitude and pay for training rather than waiting for a qualified stitcher to apply.
There is no form to send. Guidance telling an employer to submit one to the Labour Office describes a route that no longer exists, and following it leaves the duty undischarged.
There is no accelerated channel to buy. Completeness is the only lever anyone has: a file that needs no correspondence moves at the fastest pace available, and nothing else on offer is real.
Nobody outside the authorities can. An adviser prepares, lodges, follows up and corrects, and that work genuinely shortens avoidable delay, but it has no bearing on when a decision is taken.
It can be the long pole. The procedure runs separately from any immigration step and on its own timetable, so a post that needs a recognised qualification should start that process first.
Not in the regulated role. Whether some other work is possible depends on the authorisation held and on the profession’s rules, so ask the regulator before placing anyone in a holding position.
Exchange is a documented procedure, and how a licence depends on the issuing state. Some holders face more than a paperwork exercise, so the individual's position has to be established.
The heavier goods categories and the passenger categories, with their trailer variants. A driver recruited for a van may be outside it altogether, which is why the category on the licence is the first thing to read.
No amount appears on these pages, because no circulating figure could be tied to this offence with confidence. The absence of a number here says nothing about the size of the risk, which is real and falls on the employer.
