In a significant move reflecting Croatia’s engagement with its diaspora, 120 Brazilian nationals were granted Croatian citizenship in a single month. Just two days ago, 60 Croatian passports were distributed to individuals of Croatian descent at the Croatia Sacra Paulistana association headquarters in São Paulo, according to the Croatian Embassy in Brazil.
Eased Citizenship Rules to Tackle Demographic Decline
Croatia revised its citizenship laws in 2020 to make it easier for members of the Croatian diaspora to obtain citizenship.
