The CNTB presented the data in an organized presentation for the Croatian tourism offer for the most influential Austrian media. The presentation was organized in cooperation with CNTB representatives in Austria. The same was followed by meetings with key Austrian partners, tour operators and travel agencies, AtoZSerwisPlus.com reports.
In a statement issued on June 9, CNTB reported that the press conference was attended by more than 20 Austrian journalists and representatives of the most popular Austrian media.
The event was also attended by the Director of CNTB, Mr Kristjan Stani?i?, who presented the results of the Croatian tourism analysis regarding the Austrian market.
In this regard, Stani?i? pointed out that Austria is one of the important markets within the borders, with a significant impact on the overall tourism results of the country.
“We have returned to pre-pandemic trends, and I believe that during the summer high-season, we will successfully maintain these excellent indicators from the Austrian market “, he also noted.
The Austrian media were also interested in the difference between the tourist offer of Istria and Dalmatia and the importance of gastronomy in the overall Croatian tourist offer. At the same time, they were interested in the best walking routes in Croatia, the general tourist offer of the islands, etc.
‘Representatives of the Association of Unique Croatian Hotels STORIES emphasized that the association gathers accommodation facilities primarily intended for consumers who appreciate special, unique experiences and who seek high-quality service, while Stella ?urovi? from Dubrovnik-Neretva County tourist board presented the tourism news from her county with special reference regarding the opening of the Peljesac Bridge,” the statement reads.
After the press conference, the Croatian delegation met with the main partners from the Austrian market – TUI, Gruber Reisen and Mondial.
The Director of the CNTB representative office in Austria, Mr Branimir Ton?ini?, said that the partners are very satisfied with the sales results of this year.
According to him, Croatian destinations are in great demand, and the country can expect a strong contribution from the Austrian market this year in the overall results.
Moreover, the positive trends for Croatia are confirmed by many market research surveys conducted in Austria. The most recent is “Reisemonitoring” conducted by ÖAMTC, according to which Croatia has been selected as the main foreign destination in the Austrian market.
Data from this survey have revealed that 95 per cent of Austrians said they wanted to spend their holidays in Europe. The survey results also show that 53 per cent of respondents had already booked a trip this year.
